Bryan Leach
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Bryan Leach is the Founder and CEO of Ibotta (NYSE:IBTA), a leading performance marketing platform that allows CPG brands to deliver digital promotions to over 200 million consumers through a network of publishers called the Ibotta Performance Network (IPN). Under his leadership, Ibotta pioneered a pay-per-sale model that allows brand marketers to gain market share cost effectively, only paying when their campaigns lead directly to sales.
After founding Ibotta in 2012, Bryan took the company public in 2024 in what was the largest tech IPO in Colorado history. Bryan is a frequent commentator on loyalty and rewards, digital media, and the role of AI in pricing and promotions. He has been recognized as a Top 10 CEO in the United States (small/medium size businesses) by Glassdoor.com, CEO of the Year by ColoradoBiz magazine, and EY Entrepreneur of the Year for the Rocky Mountain Region.
Prior to Ibotta, Bryan was a partner at Bartlit Beck LLP and served as a law clerk to former US Supreme Court Justice David Souter. As a lawyer, he specialized in international arbitration and dispute resolution, and handled trials and arbitrations in London, New York, Seattle, and San Francisco. Bryan is a graduate of Harvard, Oxford (Marshall Scholar), and Yale Law School. He resides in Denver with his wife and two teenage daughters, and has climbed to the summit of Colorado’s 58 tallest mountains.
Sunit Patel
Chief Financial Officer
Sunit Patel joined Ibotta as the Chief Financial Officer in 2021. Prior to Ibotta, Sunit served as T-Mobile’s Executive Vice President, Merger and Integration, from 2018 to 2020, and was responsible for leading T-Mobile’s strategic planning efforts to integrate its business with Sprint.
Sunit previously served as the EVP and CFO of CenturyLink, a role he held for 14+ years at Level 3 prior to the 2017 merger with CenturyLink. Before CenturyLink, Sunit served as CFO and co-founder of Looking Glass Networks Inc., a facilities-based provider of metropolitan telecommunication transport services.
Sunit holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and Economics from Rice University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Luke Swanson
Chief Technology Officer
Luke Swanson joined Ibotta in 2012 to lead the company’s product, engineering and analytics organizations, setting the technical direction and product roadmap.
Prior to Ibotta, Luke was VP of engineering at Photobucket, where he helped scale its technology for hundreds of millions of users before the company was acquired by Fox Interactive Media.
Luke holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In his spare time, Luke enjoys hiking and other outdoor activities with his wife and two daughters.
Amir El Tabib
Chief Business Development Officer
Amir leads the Business Development and Strategic Partner Management teams at Ibotta. His team partners with the nation’s leading retailers and publishers to design, launch, and manage digital offer programs on their apps and websites. He joined Ibotta in 2016 and helped establish the company’s retail partnerships and affiliate program before transitioning to build out the Ibotta Performance Network – a performance marketing engine that reaches 120 million consumers.
Prior to Ibotta, Amir worked in investment banking and private equity. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, and graduated with bachelor’s degrees in finance and political science from the University of Colorado. Amir loves mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding, the occasional tube down Boulder Creek, and generally being outdoors with his wife and baby boy.
Marisa Daspit
Chief People Officer
Marisa Daspit joined Ibotta in 2018 and currently serves as Ibotta’s Chief People Officer. Prior to Ibotta, Marisa spent 10 years designing and leading talent management programs in the health care industry.
Marisa holds a Master’s in Adult Learning and Instructional Technology from the University of Colorado. In her spare time, Marisa enjoys running, mountain biking and spending time with her husband, daughter, and three sons.
Rich Donahue
Chief Marketing Officer
Rich leads Ibotta’s marketing efforts including the Direct to Consumer, Business to Business, Brand, Creative and Marketing Analytics teams. He joined Ibotta in 2013 from KraftHeinz (previously H.J Heinz), where he worked in Brand Management across both their consumer products and foodservice divisions. Prior to that, he spent several years in the advertising industry.
Rich holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from UCLA. Outside of the office Rich is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time outdoors with his kids.
David Shapiro
Chief Legal Officer
David Shapiro joined Ibotta in 2024. As Chief Legal Officer, he leads Ibotta’s legal strategy including risk management and corporate governance.
Prior to joining Ibotta, David served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Vail Resorts for eight years. Earlier in his career, David spent seven years at DaVita Inc. as the Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel, served as a trial attorney at the US Department of Justice, and practiced law at private firms.
David earned his law degree from the University of Connecticut and a bachelor’s in economics from Trinity College. David enjoys skiing and mountain biking in his free time and spending time with his wife, daughter, and son in the mountains.
